Memento Park sells one ticket for everything, on the door or online, and nothing is timed. The practical question isn’t how to skip a queue. It’s whether you want a guide, and whether you want the park to bring you out here itself, in a Trabant or a car from the centre.

Ticket types
Most visitors only need the first. The summaries below cover what each one includes and when it makes sense.
Entry ticket
The simplest option and the one most people buy. It covers the whole park: the statue park, Witness Square with Stalin’s grandstand and the boots, the barracks with its photo exhibition and cinema, and the Trabant by the entrance.

Guided tour in English
The park’s own tour, led by a Memento Park guide. It starts on Witness Square with the grandstand and its hidden rooms, then goes through the gate into the statue park, where the guide explains who the figures were and what the statues were for. Entry is included, and the ticket covers the rest of the day, so you can stay on afterwards.

Trabant transfer with a guided visit
The park’s Trabant programme. A restored Trabant collects you from your accommodation in Budapest at 09:30, the driver-guide takes you out to the park, gives you a guided visit and brings you back, and there is a drink at the Red Star Store and a drink and a snack at a retro bistro along the way. The whole thing takes 3 hours.

Car tour from Batthyány tér
A local operator’s tour sold through GetYourGuide. You meet the guide at Batthyány tér on the Buda riverbank, by St Anne’s church, and are driven out to the park by private car, about 30 minutes each way. The guided tour in the park lasts around 90 minutes, then the car brings you back to the centre.

What you choose between when you book
- Entry ticket on Tiqets: one adult rate, plus a free ticket for each child under 6
- Entry ticket on GetYourGuide: adult (14 and over), child (6 to 13), student with ID (14 to 26) and infant (5 and under)
- Guided tour: a single ticket type; the calendar shows the days it runs
- Trabant transfer: one price per car for up to 3 people, so it costs the same for one person as for three
- Car tour: adult or child, with the language chosen when you book
Where to buy
Online (recommended): book the entry ticket, the tour or the Trabant in advance online. You get a voucher by email and show it on your phone at the cash desk, or to the driver-guide.
On-site (walk-up): the cash desk in the barracks on Witness Square sells entry tickets every day the park is open, for cash in forints or euros or by card.
The park says entry is free with the Budapest Card, and it gives a discount on the Hungary Card and ISIC. What you cannot arrange at the desk is the Trabant, which has to be booked so the car can be at your door at 09:30.
How to book
Pick your experience
Entry on its own, the guided tour, the Trabant, or the car tour from the centre.
Choose a date
The entry ticket needs a date, not a time. The guided tour starts at 11:15 and the Trabant leaves your accommodation at 09:30, so pick a day with a free morning.
Receive your confirmation
The voucher arrives by email straight away. Save it on your phone for the day.
Go to the cash desk first
Show the voucher at the cash desk in the barracks, which is where the guide waits too. For the Trabant, show the e-ticket to the driver-guide when the car arrives.
Before you go
- Your ticket is for one visit on the day you booked. See everything before you leave.
- No last-entry time is published, so arrive at least an hour before closing: 18:00 from May to October, 16:00 from November to April.
- Photography for personal use is allowed throughout the park.
- The grounds are not barrier-free, in the park’s own words. The paths are gravel and the grandstand is reached by steps.
- Dogs and other pets are welcome on a lead.
