Memento Park keeps two sets of hours. From May to October it is open 10:00 to 18:00, and from November to April it closes two hours earlier, at 16:00. It is open every day of the year and nothing inside is timed except the 11:15 guided tour.
The park’s own website is not consistent about summer: its opening hours page says 18:00, while the banner across the top says 17:00, so in summer plan to be finished by 17:00.
The park is outdoors, so the question of when to visit isn’t really about the gates. It’s about light, weather and the bus. This page has the hours by season, the quiet times and how long to allow.

The hours are the same seven days a week within each season. No last-entry time is published, so treat an hour before closing as your latest sensible arrival.

Best times to visit
Time of day
Arrive at 10:00 and you will have the statues to yourself for a while. The 11:15 tour brings the first group through the gate. After 14:00 in summer the light is lower and kinder to the bronzes; in winter, that is already the last hour.
Day of the week
Weekdays are quieter, and the buses from Kelenföld run all week, every 30 minutes at weekends and more often on weekdays. If you want the guided tour, the calendar decides the day for you.
Season
Spring and autumn give you walkable temperatures and soft light on the statues. Summer works early in the day with water and a hat, because there is almost no shade. From November to April the 16:00 close means a morning or early-afternoon visit, and a grey day suits the subject better than you would think.
How long to spend
We would allow 60 to 90 minutes at the park. What stretches it is the film in the barracks, which runs to about an hour if you sit through all four parts.

Insider tips
Mind the winter close
From November to April the gates shut at 16:00. Leave the centre by 13:00 at the latest, allowing the metro, the wait for the bus and the 9-minute ride, and you still have two hours.
Book the tour before you fix the day
The guided walk only runs on certain days and only at 11:15. Check its calendar first, then plan the rest of the day around it, rather than the other way round.
Sit down in the barracks when it is hot or wet
The cinema and the exhibition are the only roof in the park. On a hot afternoon or in rain, do the film first and the statues when the weather eases.
