Two trumpeters mark 100 years since John Coltrane’s birth with his pieces and their own, drawing on the meditative side of his music. Part of the Újbuda Jazz Festival on the A38 boat.
About the event
Erik Truffaz and Lőrinc Barabás, who now performs simply as Barabas, are both trumpeters and composers, and this is the first time they have played a concert together. Don't come expecting a covers night. They use Coltrane's music as the starting point for something of their own.
Doors open an hour before the 19:30 start. You can buy a ticket for this concert alone or a three-day pass for the whole Újbuda Jazz Festival, and you can book a two- or three-course dinner on board before the show.
