This is a screening of the National Theatre's London staging of Oscar Wilde's comedy, directed by Max Webster. The theatre calls it a radical reimagining rather than a straight revival, one that turns Wilde's comedy of false names into a reflection on authenticity. Gatwa plays Algernon and Skinner plays Jack, with Clarke as Lady Bracknell, Eliza Scanlen as Cecily and Ronke Adekoluejo as Gwendolen.

English subtitles are shown too, which helps with Wilde's rapid dialogue. There is one interval. It is ticketed, with reduced tickets for students, pensioners and teachers, and you can book online or by phone.
