Two gigs on the roof terrace of the A38, a converted ship moored on the Danube: Mexican art-punk on Tuesday and a prog metal triple bill on Wednesday.
About the event
On Tuesday, as part of the Fekete Zaj festival, Mexico's Descartes a Kant bring their theatrical live show. Their music moves between punk, metal, pop, shoegaze and cabaret, and they are a leading name in Mexico's experimental underground. Doors open an hour before the start.
Wednesday belongs to Mother of Millions from Athens, Finland's Oddland and Reykjavik's Ring of Gyges. Mother of Millions play post and progressive metal with a cinematic feel and intricate arrangements. Oddland have toured as support and co-headliner with Persefone and Soen, and Ring of Gyges take their name from Plato's magic ring. Doors open half an hour before the music. Both nights are ticketed; on Wednesday you can also buy a ticket that includes dinner.
