Country and city: a ten-day focus at Trafó

Ten days of performances, installations, concerts and exhibitions about how the countryside and the city depend on each other. Tickets are pay what you can, and Trafó marks the programme as English friendly.

About the event

The idea is mutual learning and solidarity, rather than setting country against city. The programme takes in exhibitions, installations, one-to-one walks, talks, concerts, debate theatre, film screenings and guided tours, plus a landscape tasting with rural policy experts and a full-day performance bus trip to Lakitelek and Tiszazug on 26 September.

Cooking Sections' exhibition The House that Pigs built and a sound installation by Iza Tarasewicz and Justyna Stasiowska run throughout. Myriam Lefkowitz leads one-to-one walks through the city, and on 25 September the Szimfolk Music Workshop plays Roma and Moldavian folk music. The pay what you can tickets come at three levels to choose from.
