ORBIT by SUB.LAB.PRO and Marie Gyselbrecht
16 to 17 October

A dance theatre piece about attachment and the forces that pull people together and apart, danced by the young company SUB.LAB.PRO trains. Fifty minutes in the Main Hall, marked English friendly by the house.
About the event
SUB.LAB.PRO runs an ensemble programme for dancers at the start of their careers, in which four choreographers each build a full evening for them and the finished works go on Trafó's main stage. This is the season opener from the sixth generation of that programme, made by Marie Gyselbrecht, who spent years as a core member of Peeping Tom and whose own pieces have toured widely in Europe.
Nine performers from Europe and the United States dance it, with guest artists alongside them. The house sets it at sixteen and over, and warns of smoke, loud sound, complete darkness and strobe lighting.
