More than 160 Budapest restaurants put on a three-course set menu for eighteen days, booked ahead through one website. It is the run of the year to try a kitchen you would otherwise walk past.
About the event
DiningCity runs it. Every restaurant taking part serves a fixed three-course menu, a starter, a main and a dessert. Bookings are not taken by phone, only online, and confirmation comes by email with a code you can use to change the date or the party size later. The set menu covers any service charge, and drinks are extra, though some include an aperitif.
Some kitchens offer premium or exclusive menus, marked with one or two DiningCity stars. A red and white Michelin icon flags the Bib Gourmand and Michelin-recommended restaurants and the one starred venue, which may add four or five-course tasting menus. Each restaurant caps the covers it releases, so book early.
