Fények, színek, illatok, Italy in Hungarian art
17 August to 15 October

A free open-air show of Hungarian artists' Italy, in reproductions framed along the ramp that climbs to the Gloriett. The work labels are in English as well as Hungarian.
About the event
The Museum of Fine Arts and Hungarian National Gallery put this together with the Várkapitányság, and Adrienn Prágai of the gallery curated it. Csontváry Kosztka Tivadar painted Tengerparti város on a trip to Sicily, the stacked houses of Scilla under the Castello Ruffo; Csók István caught the knobbly amalfitano lemon; Vaszary János, Triznya Mátyás, Molnár-C. Pál, Kontuly Béla, Pekáry István, Kosztolányi Kann Gyula and Patkó Károly follow, with a photograph by Frigyes Géza Haller.
Ten lit frames stand in the rose-scented Neo-Renaissance garden, which makes it work as an evening walk. A family game called Itáliai magyar ArTour runs over ten stations from a QR code on site.
