Liszt Fest across Budapest

Müpa Budapest's autumn festival takes over concert halls, museums and clubs for a fortnight. Orchestral and chamber music, dance, jazz, electronic sets, literature and exhibitions all sit on the same programme.
About the event
The festival was launched in 2021, on the 210th anniversary of Ferenc Liszt's birth, and each edition is built around the qualities the organisers find in his work: range of genre and richness of form. Müpa Budapest runs it, and the programme spreads well beyond its own halls to the Liszt Academy, the Hungarian National Gallery, the Ludwig Museum, the House of Music Hungary, Akvárium Klub, the Budapest Music Center and the National Dance Theatre.
Some of it is free and some is performed in the open air. The rest is ticketed one event at a time, and the festival's own site lists the lot in English, filtered by date, genre and venue.
