Oranssi Pazuzu and Múr on the A38
Sunday 1 November

Finnish black metal bent through krautrock, prog and something close to acid house, with the Icelandic band Múr on a joint tour. Fekete Zaj hosts the night in the ship's concert hall.
About the event
Oranssi Pazuzu formed in 2007 and take their name from the Finnish word for orange, the colour of cosmic energy, and from Pazuzu, an ancient Mesopotamian wind demon. Their records carry the spirit of 1970s prog and krautrock, a pulse that borders on acid house, and something of composers such as Philip Glass and Steve Reich, all held inside black metal. Múr, from Iceland, formed in 2018 and sit on the border between progressive metal and post-metal. The keytar-playing singer Kári Haraldsson moves from clear singing to a howl, shoegaze melodies run under the weight of it, and no category quite covers what Múr do.
