Omah Lay at Barba Negra
Saturday 21 November

One of the biggest names in afrobeats, in a room better known for metal. Tickets are standing, sold online only, with nothing on the gate.
About the event
Omah Lay comes from Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria, and works in afro fusion, a strand of afrobeats with its own sound and some forceful writing in it. He has released steadily since breaking through in 2020: the EPs Get Layd and What Have We Done, then the album Boy Alone, and singles including Bad Influence, Godly, Soso, Reason and Holy Ghost. His music has passed six billion streams worldwide, all in a little over four years. It is on the Red Stage, the big covered room on the Csepel site, with an hour between the doors and the start and the bars and street food out in the yard.
