Josef Nadj: Dialogues in the Dream
10 to 11 November

Forty years into his career, the choreographer returns to Trafó with a duet in white masks and black hats, danced to John Cage's pieces for prepared piano. An hour in the Main Hall, marked English friendly.
About the event
Nadj grew up in a Hungarian-speaking family in Kanjiža, trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, then moved to Paris for mime, tai chi and butoh. He ran the national choreographic centre in Orléans for two decades before founding his own company, Atelier 3+1, and he has made more than thirty works shown in close to fifty countries.
Here he dances with Ivan Fatjo, drawing on Japanese Zen and on central European surrealism, in the space between the human and the puppet where the living and the made become hard to tell apart. The house sets it at twelve and over.
