Ferenc Török’s 2001 film about a Budapest schoolboy party-hopping with his friends in spring 1989, as Hungary stands on the edge of change. A one-off screening in Hungarian with English subtitles.
About the event
Petya is about to sit his final exams and is turning 18. He and his friends meet at Moszkva tér to find out where the parties are, then drift from one to the next while the country around them is in a rush of change.
The cast includes Gábor Karalyos, Eszter Balla and Erzsi Pápai. The film runs for 89 minutes and is not recommended for under-16s. Tickets are sold on the Bem Mozi website.
