Korean Film Festival at the Corvin

Twenty-four Korean features over eight days, all subtitled in English as well as Hungarian, from the historical drama that became the second most-watched film in South Korean history to a comic zombie story adapted from a webtoon. Visiting directors take questions after three of the screenings.
About the event
The Korean Cultural Center in Budapest has run the festival for close to two decades and splits this edition into sections. Fresh gathers recent releases across identity drama, romantic comedy, mystery thriller, occult action and crime. Faces turns to the director Yoon Ga-eun and her films about childhood and growing up, while Focus takes on the road movie. The Extra block is a selection chosen by the Jeonju International Film Festival, an official partner. The talks, with Song Jinuk, Jang Kunjae and Lee Seonyeon, are held in Hungarian and Korean. Screenings are ticketed, and the audience votes for its own award, given out before the closing film.
