Kék Pelikán exhibition at the KULT7 Labor
2 to 29 October

The small upstairs gallery on Király utca gives October to Kék Pelikán, the Hungarian animated documentary, and shows the material the film was built out of. Nothing to pay to walk in.
About the event
The show takes you into how the film was made, its visual world and the stories inside it, through the objects, images and other material gathered while it was in production. The questions it hangs on are how a story survives in an object, an image or a memory, and how something as ordinary as a train ticket ends up carrying a whole era. Personal recollection and historical background meet in it. Partway through the run the director, Csáki László, leads a guided tour and the documentary is screened after it. It keeps KULT7's own opening hours, Monday to Saturday, with Monday, Wednesday and Thursday running on into the evening and Sunday set by whatever is on.
