Harlem Globetrotters: The 100 Year Tour

Saturday 31 October

A century of trick basketball in one evening: dunks, ball-spinning and the stunts the Globetrotters built their name on, against their long-standing rivals the Washington Generals.

About the event

The Globetrotters mark their hundredth year with a tour that takes in three Hungarian cities, Veszprém, Szeged and Budapest, the arena date being the last of them. The squad play in a new anniversary strip and face the Washington Generals, with a gold Spalding ball among the additions to the show. Before tip-off there is the Magic Pass, a thirty-minute session on court where players from both teams sign autographs, pose for photographs and teach tricks such as spinning a ball on a finger; everyone taking part needs a Magic Pass as well as an ordinary ticket, and soft-soled shoes are required on court. A fifth quarter afterwards gives another chance at autographs.
