Freddie, the exhibition at the House of Music
1 May to 28 February

Stage costumes, furniture, manuscripts and personal belongings tell Freddie Mercury's own story, in a show marking forty years since the Queen concert in Budapest.
About the event
The House of Music Hungary made the exhibition with World of Freddie and lays it out over nine themed spaces: the rise as a musician, the concerts he is remembered for, including Live Aid, the man behind the public figure, his writing and his social life, his habits and passions, and his rooms at home, before closing on his last years and what he left behind. Peter Freestone, his personal assistant for more than ten years, turns up on audio and video throughout with stories of his own. Headphones are handed out at the entrance and are needed to go round. Entry is in timed slots, it takes most people about two hours, and it is not recommended for children under six.
