Dub Pistols with Freestylers and Mango at the A38
Friday 16 October

Dub, hip-hop, ska and breakbeats from the London band, with the Freestylers and Mango on the same bill in the ship's concert hall. This is the rescheduled date for a show put back from November 2025, and tickets bought for the original night still stand.
About the event
Dub Pistols were put together in London in 1996 by Barry Ashworth, who also sings, and the bassist Jason O'Bryan. Dub and hip-hop are the foundation, with ska, punk, techno and breakbeats worked in, and the pair have remixed Moby, Limp Bizkit, Korn and Ian Brown. Their track with Busta Rhymes ended up on the Blade II soundtrack. Live they play as a band, with collaborators including the British hip-hop pioneer Rodney P and the scratch DJ Styx. The Freestylers, Aston Harvey and Matt Cantor, have nearly three decades in dance music behind them, from Top of the Pops to the big festivals. A dinner ticket can be added, or bought together with the concert.
