Tchaikovsky's whole Nutcracker score in concert, played by the Danubia Orchestra with the children's choir of the Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir School and conducted by Vanessa Benelli Mosell.

About the event

The Danubia plays the complete original ballet music every year, and each time pairs it with a newly written version of the story: this year's is by Dániel Varró. The concert lasts about two and a quarter hours with one interval. Benelli Mosell made her debut as a soloist with an orchestra at nine, studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the Royal College of Music in London, then trained as a conductor in Lugano and at the Liszt school in Weimar. She first conducted in 2018, and a year later took second prize in the European round of MAWOMA, the first competition for women conductors. For families, the orchestra plays an hour of excerpts three days later.
