Banff Mountain Film Festival world tour

Nine short climbing, skiing, mountain biking, skateboarding and Arctic expedition films from this year’s world tour, split into two programmes of 90 and 83 minutes. Most films are in English, with English subtitles where needed.

About the event

The films come from the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival in Canada, where about 400 productions compete each year. Pachamama Adventures has brought the tour to Budapest since 2013. Each ticket is for one programme, so see both if you want all nine.

This year's selection includes Old Man Lightning, about the veteran boulderer John "Verm" Sherman going back for one last climb, Dissidence, on Indonesian twin brothers rising through competition climbing without sponsors, and the first free ascent of Riders on the Storm in Patagonia. The ski films That One Friend and Bridgers are about friendship and community. Tickets are sold in the Cinema City app and at the box office.
