Four days of contemporary art at the MTK Sportpark, where galleries from across Europe and well beyond it bring work that is for sale, and the fair leans deliberately towards artists still making their name.
About the event
Running since 2011, the fair has drawn exhibitors from more than 50 countries on five continents. It puts galleries from the emerging regions in and beyond Europe next to the younger generation coming out of the established West. Two sections sit inside it: Art Photo Budapest, a photography fair the organisers call the only international one in the region, and sCULTURE, about thirty contemporary sculptures in the free-to-enter park around the exhibition hall and more inside it. Guided tours run on the last three days, in Hungarian, with places limited and booking needed. Tickets are sold online and at the door, and a closing party follows on the Saturday evening with shuttle buses from the fair.
