Monday 23 November

The Scottish pair mark thirty years with a European tour of only eight shows, and Budapest is one of them. The ship bills the night as Danube Music Day.

About the event

Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton have spent three decades on the same unmistakable sound: heavy, melancholic music under a voice that slides from flat declaration to a whisper and back. Their anniversary album Half-Told Tales arrived in September 2026, almost exactly thirty years after the first single, and it stretches from disco to metal, post-rock and spoken word while folding in folk and electronic parts. Time and its passing runs through the record, written from the far side of fifty, though Moffat is clear that there is real joy on it as well. A dinner on board can be added to a ticket.
