Doors open at 07:00 and close at 21:00 all year round, with the pools closing at 20:30. What complicates it is everything inside, which keeps hours of its own. The slides and the waves start at 10:00, the giant slides take turns on school-term weekdays, and the outdoor summer pools close for the winter.
Opening hours
Every day of the year
| Monday | 07:00-21:00 |
| Tuesday | 07:00-21:00 |
| Wednesday | 07:00-21:00 |
| Thursday | 07:00-21:00 |
| Friday | 07:00-21:00 |
| Saturday | 07:00-21:00 |
| Sunday | 07:00-21:00 |
The pools close at 20:30. The slides and attractions run from 10:00, and on school-term weekdays the giant slides take turns. Before 10:00 it is a swimming morning.
Until 10:00 the water park is a swimming morning, with only the 25-metre swimming pools in use (in winter, just the indoor one) and the slides still. The morning swimming ticket covers exactly that window, with last entry at 09:15, and a full-day ticket gets you in from 07:00 too.
The slides stop just before the pools close at 20:30, so plan your last ride for about 20:15. The cash desks stay open until 21:00.
Other things inside keep their own times:
- Fast & Fine Food Market, the self-service restaurant: every day, 11:00 to 20:30
- Fast & Fine Coffee & Bar: every day, 09:30 to 19:30
- Bongo Kids Club playhouse: every day, 09:00 to 20:30
- Water walking ball in the wave pool: Friday to Sunday and on holidays, 10:00 to 19:00
- Sauna World: the saunas run to a timetable posted inside, so check it as you go in
When the slides run
At weekends, on public holidays and in the school holidays, every slide runs from 10:00 until the pools close. On school-term weekdays the giant slides take turns in two-hour shifts. This is the rota Aquaworld published from 1 September, and it posts the one in force on its slides page and on the board in the lobby.
| Slides | Running on school-term weekdays |
|---|---|
| Rainbow, UFO, Black Hole | 10:00 to 12:00, 14:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 20:30 |
| Kamikaze, Whirlwind, Flying Carpet, Mountain Stream | 12:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:00 |
| Onion | From 14:00 to 20:30 |
| Family slide and the children’s slides | Not on the rota |
Every slide on the rota runs at some point between 12:00 and 16:00, which makes it the window to aim for on a weekday. From 14:00 to 18:00 works too.
Best times to visit
Time of day

Come for 10:00 if slides are the point of the trip, because that is when they start. Before then you have the swimming pools and not much else.
The water park gets busier from about 16:00, when the slide queues and the loungers fill. On a school-term weekday the best window is 12:00 to 16:00. The three slides from the top of the tower and Mountain Stream run from 12:00 to 14:00, then Rainbow, UFO, Black Hole and the Onion from 14:00 to 16:00.
Day of the week
Weekends, public holidays and school holidays are when every slide runs all day, and they are also the days the park can fill up, so buy online the day before and be at the door for 10:00.
A school-term weekday is quieter and costs less, and the 1.5-hour ticket is sold only on weekdays. The trade is the slide rota, which means not every slide is running at once.
Season

In summer the outdoor area opens, with two children’s pools under sunshades, a 25-metre outdoor pool, a grill terrace, an ice cream bar and the Cool Bar. It gives the crowd somewhere to spread out on a hot day.
In winter everything happens under the dome, plus the heated outdoor adventure pool. A cold or wet day is when an indoor water park makes most sense.
How long to spend at Aquaworld
An hour and a half on a weekday
The weekday-only short ticket is enough for a swim and the wave pool, not for the slide queues on a busy afternoon.
Three hours for the slides
The 3-hour ticket covers the big slides, the wave pool and the Sauna World, with 15 minutes on top to change.
A full day with small children
The children’s pools, the Bongo Tree House and the playhouse fill a day, with lunch inside from 11:00.
