Sports and Pool Girl on the A38
Friday 6 November

Indie pop from Tulsa, built on a friendship that started in childhood. The Californian songwriter Pool Girl opens in the ship's concert hall.
About the event
Sports are Christian Theriot and Cale Chronister, an Oklahoma pair who credit their Tulsa upbringing for the way they work: a long way from Los Angeles or New York, with everything earned the hard way. Viral success led to three well-received albums, and their fourth, SPORTS, was the first they wrote, produced and recorded entirely themselves, in a studio they built from scratch at home. Its twelve tracks swing from bright, melodic pop to rougher and more distorted songs, with electronic and psychedelic turns along the way. Pool Girl is the solo project of Allie Nixon, who grew up in Carpinteria on her father's Beatles and Beach Boys records. A dinner on board can be added to a ticket.
