László György Sáros: From Details, Space Itself
18 September to 15 November

The buildings and the photographs of one of the leading figures in Hungarian organic architecture, shown together in the Műcsarnok's Box space.
About the event
Sáros sought out Imre Makovecz while he was still a student, and what began as a master and disciple relationship turned into a friendship that shaped his working life. For him organic architecture is less a matter of natural forms and materials than an attitude that puts human life, and with it time, at the centre of how a building is thought out. He treats photography as part of that practice rather than a sideline, and his pictures keep returning to the built environment and to the way human-made space sits with nature, in parallels, contrasts and the relation of a part to the whole. Julia Szerdahelyi curated it.
