Handel's Messiah by the RIAS Kammerchor

Müpa's Christmas concert is Handel's Messiah, sung in English by the RIAS Kammerchor with Berlin's Akademie für Alte Musik. A British conductor and four British soloists take it on.
About the event
The Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin has more than forty years behind it as an early music ensemble, and the RIAS Kammerchor, also from Berlin, was founded in the years just after the Second World War. Justin Doyle, a British choral conductor, leads them both. The soloists are the soprano Julia Doyle, the male alto Tim Mead, the tenor Thomas Hobbs and the bass Roderick Williams, all British as well, so the oratorio is heard in the language Handel set. Müpa is producing the concert. Just under three hours with one interval, and it is ticketed.
