Placebo at the Budapest Arena
Friday 13 November

Placebo mark thirty years since their debut album with a set drawn from their first two records, Placebo and Without You I'm Nothing. It is their first Budapest concert in a decade.
About the event
Brian Molko's band released that debut in 1996, at the height of Britpop and set against it. Where much of British guitar music then traded in swagger and national identity, Placebo were confrontational from the first bar, writing openly about sexuality, androgyny, addiction and alienation. The anniversary brought Placebo RE:CREATED, a reworked and expanded version of the ten original songs with two bonus tracks from the first release, shaped by how the songs have changed on stage over the decades. The British and European arena tour behind it reaches Hungary with songs the band have not played live in more than twenty years.
