Sunday 8 November

Trafó House and UH Fest put three acts in the Main Hall for an evening of experimental music, from Japan, Slovakia and Hungary. Three hours, marked English friendly by the house.

About the event

OOIOO began as a media hoax and turned into a cult band, led by YoshimiO of Boredoms, with Kayan on guitar, Aya on bass and Ritsuko Mishina on drums, weaving organic and electric sound into something dense and hard to place between pop and experiment. Michaela Turcerová brings IN FLUX, made with Jon Lipscomb, in which an alto saxophone is rebuilt with sound objects and sine waves into what their label calls a cyborg saxophone stripped to raw material. 88 Defibrillátor is Ádám Fekete, playing diddley bow, harp and voice against household objects and industrial junk strapped to his moving body. The house sets it at fourteen and over and warns of loud sound.
