Óbuda mineral fair and bonsai show
Sunday 8 November

Minerals, gemstones and fossils to look at and to buy, with a room of bonsai trees next door and craft sessions running all day. Nothing to pay at the door.
About the event
Sellers fill the marketplace with minerals and fossils in rough and worked form, along with mineral jewellery, ornaments and craft pieces. In the first room the Óbuda Bonsai Association shows compositions by growers working in the district, open from start to finish. A second room has a Tibetan calligraphy demonstration and exhibition, where Róbert Urai takes visitors through the brushwork and where the script came from. Shorter sessions run to a timetable: a dot-painting workshop for all ages four times in the morning and early afternoon, and origami folding for children and adults four times across the day. The side programmes cost nothing, and the jewellery making, which had to be booked, has filled.
