dunaPart7, the Hungarian performing arts showcase
18 to 21 November

Twenty-three Hungarian productions over four days, chosen by six curators to put the independent scene in front of visiting programmers. Selected performances are open to the public, eight of them in Trafó's own halls.
About the event
This is the seventh edition of a series launched in 2008, run by Trafó with partners including Jurányi Art Incubator House, MU Theatre, SÍN Arts Centre, Szkéné Theatre and the Workshop Foundation. The curators call it a showcase rather than a festival. Close to 150 entries were cut down to a programme of independent theatre, contemporary dance, experimental performance, new circus and site-specific work.
Registration is for performing arts professionals and carries a fee. Everyone else buys tickets at the venues' ticket counters or online. The eight performances in Trafó's own halls are English friendly: I need help immediately, THE MANUAL, MMXXV, MEN, UTTU, mama, The (Dis)Appearance of Rituals and Reigen. Nothing of the sort is promised for the pieces at the other venues, so check those before booking.
