Beethoven 200 and Dohnányi 150 at the Old Academy of Music
Friday 6 November

The first evening of a run marking two anniversaries, played by piano students of the Liszt Academy. There is nothing to pay and no ticket to book.
About the event
Four of the Academy's pianists share the programme. Szilárd Nagy opens with Beethoven's Sixth Sonata in F major and Noémi Devich follows with the Fifteenth in D major, the Pastoral. After the interval Manó Szolnoki plays two pieces by Dohnányi, the Rhapsody in E flat minor and the Variations on a Hungarian Folksong, and Amina Begovic closes with Beethoven's Thirty-first Sonata in A flat major. The Academy presents the concert itself, in the Chamber Hall of its old building, which also holds the last Budapest flat Liszt lived in, now a museum. Admission depends on seats being free when you arrive.
