The closing concert of Budavár's outdoor music series, played on the Danube-facing terrace beside the equestrian statue of Prince Eugene of Savoy. Walk up and listen.
About the event
The band comes from Zenta, Budavár's twin town, and has been playing for more than 140 years. It was founded alongside the volunteer fire brigade, started out at firemen's balls and dances, and has kept up the habit of playing in the open air ever since. Run as a civil association since 2006, it holds a Pro Urbe award from its own town and a silver rating from an international brass band festival in Mór. The programme mixes marches and traditional wind band writing with arrangements of pop songs and film music. Tibor Masa conducts. The series takes outdoor concerts around District I's public spaces.
