Kacatoló, the children's flea market in Újpest

Children aged six to eighteen sell and swap the toys they have outgrown. Getting in costs nothing and neither does a table, but tables have to be booked first.

About the event

Újpest is running its children's flea market for the second time, on the thought that what one child has finished with can please another. The idea is that children learn about swapping, what money is worth and keeping things in use by doing it themselves rather than hearing about it. The organisers recommend that a parent comes along. Booking a table means accepting the house rules, and reservations go through the centre by email or phone. Photographs and video may be taken and used on the centre's website and social media.
