Ferihegyi Ikarus Találkozó, Hungarian buses at Aeropark

More than a hundred Ikarus buses gather among the old airliners at the airport museum, and plenty of them are running. You can ride a rear-engined one out to the old Terminal 1 and back.
About the event
The aviation museum runs the meeting with Volán, BKV and the Museum of Transport, and this is the eighth. Nostalgia buses leave the car park every fifteen minutes from morning to late afternoon for the aeroplane-shaped old terminal, stopping outside it long enough for photographs, and those tickets are sold only at the museum entrance. On the second day about ninety buses form a convoy and drive out under police escort for over an hour, many of them carrying passengers. The museum is only partly open once they return. Engines are fired up through both days, among them a Kamov 26 helicopter and an An-2, with their owners explaining what you are hearing.
