DOGZ great pack walk along Andrássy út

Several hundred dogs and their owners walk the length of Andrássy út together, from the Basilica to the Városliget. Taking part costs nothing, but you have to register first.
About the event
We love Dogz and the NOÉ Animal Shelter Foundation put the walk on together for World Animal Day, to make the case for responsible ownership and for adopting rather than buying. Walkers gather on the Deák tér side of the Basilica, set off half an hour later, stop at Heroes' Square for a photograph of the whole pack, and finish at Vajdahunyad Castle.
The rest of the day happens there: talks, an agility course, a quiz in the organisers' own app, three hundred gift bags handed out among the walkers and a raffle whose takings go to the shelter. NOÉ has been running since 1992 and looks after more than a thousand animals.
