Budapest Contemporary art fair

A contemporary art fair held for the first time this year, filling the Bálna on the Pest riverbank with work from today's galleries.
About the event
The organisers have been putting on art fairs since 1994, when they started the Antique Interior Classic and Contemporary Fair, and they run an Art and Antique fair each spring. This one is given over to contemporary galleries and to putting artists, collectors and gallery owners in the same rooms as visitors.
KÉPEZŐ Gallery runs the guided tours. They cost nothing but take limited numbers, so it is worth registering by email first. Art historian Blanka Bán and aesthete Sári Tomcsányi lead the adult tours, and museum educator Boglárka Pethő takes the children's ones, which run at the same time as the morning adult tours. Everything leaves from the meeting point opposite the cloakroom. Under eighteens get in free.
