Állatszeretet ünnep, an animal day at Budapest Zoo

Saturday 3 October

Photo: Fővárosi Állat- és Növénykert

Hands-on stations spread through the zoo, about saving species and the places they live, run with conservation groups. Nothing extra to pay on top of a zoo ticket or annual pass.

About the event

The zoo's own wildlife rescue team and its education staff take a stand each, joined by the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society, WWF Hungary, the Hungarian Entomological Society, the Hungarian Biological Society, the Herman Ottó Institute, the national hiking federation and the state weather service. Expect a station on the mammal of the year, a bird-friendly garden, snakes and frogs, a sustainability play house, beekeeping and honey, nature illustration, soil life in the great ape house and a craft table run by the zoo's green workshop. The regular TapiZoo touching sessions and keeper talks run at their usual places.
