André Rieu at the MVM Dome

The Dutch violinist and his orchestra are back in Budapest for two nights, and the showmanship is as much the point as the playing.
About the event
Rieu has sold more than 40 million albums and takes his shows from Santiago to Abu Dhabi, travelling with a company of more than a hundred people that includes chefs, a doctor and a trainer. The concerts move between opera, popular hits, numbers from musicals, film scores and, above all, waltzes, with costumes, stage sets and lighting to match.
His album The Sound of Heaven, which topped the German classical chart, ranges from Handel and Puccini to Andrew Lloyd Webber and ABBA, taking in The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Star Wars and Titanic.
